What a lovely setting and such a welcoming couple! We had a cosy one night stay in early November. The property was nestled in a valley with a stream running by and we had a very comfortable room in a stone house with a wood stove and crisp …
The property is located in a very beautiful enviroment, with different facilities and the breakfast was delicious. Both hosts are very friendly and helpful. ||||Would strongly recommend for anyone looking for a place in nature! We regereted that we didn't booked for a longer stay
Great hospitality from the owners and total availability to help us fining the best places to eat and visit. The breakfast is simply wonderful! Is one of those places where you almost feel like family.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Location is very peaceful and surrounded by nature. There is a swimming pool and a stream nearby. You can swim and use a canoe in the stream.
Houses/rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. A/C worked quite well. The house/room, we stayed in, had a small fridge, and kitchen utensils. It is nice if you want to prepare something or if you prefer to eat there.
Breakfast has a decent variety.
Internet connection is only available near the main house and the breakfast room (good for online detox)
It would be great to have some insect nets on windows or doors, to allow to have them open without worrying about insects coming inside. This area can have a lot of insects, including mosquitoes.
It would also be great to have a daily maintenance, for example to refill any toilet paper or replace towels.
On a side note, not a complaint, we went during early summer and it was a bit of a struggle to stay outside in the evening because of the mosquitoes. It is understandable that we are surrounded by nature and near a stream, but it really made it difficult to enjoy. If you want to fully enjoy, you might need some repellent.
The location is great to relax but it can be tricky to find a good restaurant open especially on Mondays. You need to drive everywhere, since it is not within walking distance to any village or restaurant.
great place! very nice remodeling of an old house structure the farm goes until a small river on the base of the property. super calm the rooms are very nice and fresh. sweet decor. the breakfast amazing. so many delicious items from …
Amazing place, so peaceful and quiet, just perfect for a getaway and rest. It's comprised of a few independent small houses, some with one bed, others with two or three. There's a pool, fusball, a canoe and a small river right by the property and the food is just yummy! Highly recommended, on all fronts!
Stayed here at end June 2019, it was a last minute find, and we were so happy, a Shangri-la. Perfect little one bedded room with bathroom. Delightful. Each place has their own outside sitting area, ours also had a hammock and I fell asleep listening to the frogs calling in the nearby river. The breakfasts are self serve buffet style, in the cabana, lots of homemade stuff, like yoghurt, bread, delicious berries, healthy but lots of choice, felt decadent. No facilities for self catering, yet you are quite a way away from the local town. Would be good if there was an outside kitchen you could use. Lots of lovely touches like candles at night on the steps, canoes, day beds and hammocks on the river bank, and a small bottle of homemade liquer in the room. The pool is lovely too. Highly recommended and the owners are a lovely couple. Great hideaway place.
We chose this location because it was convenient en route from Madrid to Lisbon but were blown away by the beauty, hospitality and introduction to the Portuguese. Such friendly people, such good food, so much history. Rui and Annabelle …
